In a two-part series, we explore the Vice President’s decision to invite Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate. Ken admits his unbridled enthusiasm, especially following that Philadelphia Rally where the two made a joyful, energetic launch in front of a roaring, capacity crowd. Betsey’s enthusiasms are somewhat muted because for the past few weeks, she has been actively engaged with a team of advocates across the nation to promote Pete Buttigieg for the position. As anticipation reached a fever pitch, the announcement was a let-down for Betsey and her friends. In this episode, she tells the story of the backroom drama - and then finally, her embrace of the ticket. Both Ken and Betsey share their firm belief that the former President’s campaign, including his choice of V.P., are facing a formidable foe in Harris/Walz.
